Adventure is better when it’s shared.
Whether you ride a few miles or a few hundred, a Drop-in Ride is a chance to connect with others who love bicycle travel as much as you do. In 2026, thousands of cyclists will be pedaling forward together to celebrate 50 years of Adventure Cycling, and we can’t wait for you to be part of it.
Find your people.
Our Companions Wanted listings are a great place to find riders planning Drop-in Rides. Think travel companions, not dating profiles. There’s a special 50th-Anniversary section just for these routes. Anyone can reply to posts, and Adventure Cycling members can start their own listings (join for just $2.50 a month to post).
Form a group.
When you register, each rider signs up individually and enters the same group name. Your registrations will be linked automatically. If your group is one of the first 50 to register, you’ll have the option to appear on our live GPS tracking map powered by Follow My Challenge, so others can follow your ride in real time.
Ride with our ambassadors.
Lael Wilcox will take on the Golden Gravel Trail, riding at her own record-setting pace. You can follow her journey live on our GPS tracking map or join her on the route if you can catch her!
Ryan Van Duzer will ride the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, starting on the summer solstice, June 21, 2026. Ryan welcomes riders to join him for a day, a week, or more as he brings his trademark enthusiasm to the trail.
Stay tuned for more details about when and where each ambassador will begin their rides. We will share updates as the 2026 season approaches.
