Gear up! Something fresh and new is just around the corner.
The website will be ready for you on Tuesday, August 25th. This upgrade focuses on one thing: making your experience smoother, simpler, and easier to navigate, whether you’re hosting, touring, or doing a bit of both.
What’s in store:
Text Message Notifications: You’ll have the option to receive a text when you get a new message, containing a quick link to log in or open the app (in 99% of countries).
Simplified Profiles: We’ve streamlined the profile fields so you can better highlight your hosting options or touring plans, making room for what matters.
Additional features include new map routes, community badges, fresh new forums, saved lists, and improved options for sending requests or messaging with updates on your availability.
What to expect when you first log in:
The new website will first ask you to create a NEW password. We recommend a unique password with at least 15 characters long. The best way to create a new password is to use a password manager to generate a unique and secure password to ensure your account remains safe and unique to your Warmshowers profile.
Secondly, you will be taken through a series of screens that provide an overview of the new site and ask you to confirm your current details. You’ll then be asked to confirm your phone number if you would like to receive text notifications (can also be changed once you are in the dashboard).
Please note – the new mobile apps will also be launched within a week of the new site, but will not be available on the 25th. We are aiming for September 1st for mobile app release.
