23Oct au 25Oct

Fifty years ago, some four-thousand cyclists set out across the country on the first long-distance bike route in the U.S., making history with every pedal stroke. The organization that grew out of that ride has called Missoula, Montana home ever since.

The Golden October CelebrationOctober 23–25, 2026 | Missoula, Montana$150 per person | Space is limited to 300 Learn More & RegisterThis is Adventure Cycling’s autumnal 50th Anniversary gathering: a weekend to celebrate the people, the rides, and the community that built this organization and to look ahead together at what the next 50 years can be. We will be joined by ACA’s founders, board of directors, past and current staff, long-time members, tour leaders, volunteers, and supporters from every era of this organization’s life.
If you have been part of ACA’s story, at any point and in any way, this weekend is for you! Beautiful Missoula, MT, photo by Destination MissoulaHere is what the weekend looks like:

Friday, October 23: Arrive and settle in. Join us at ACA headquarters from 5:30 to 8:30 PM for a board-hosted welcome reception. Pick up your welcome packet, enjoy a slice of birthday cake, and meet fellow members and the board before heading into Missoula for dinner on your own.

Saturday, October 24: The heart of the weekend. Morning activities will include guided building tours, an oral history recording project, a show and tell of member mementos, stories from the road presentations, and a conversation with board members about ACA’s strategic direction for the next 50 years. That evening, everyone will gather at the Holiday Inn Missoula Downtown for the main celebration dinner: a full program, buffet, and first drink are included.

Sunday, October 25: Self-directed adventure day. We will share suggested rides and local activities so you can close out the weekend the way cyclists do best.
