The 23rd Annual Filmed by Bike kicks off this Friday!

We are so excited to spend this weekend with y’all, riding bikes and watching bike short films! We have more than 6 hours of films screening at the Clinton Street Theater, and many more films screening virtually (more info on that in an upcoming newsletter). You can buy a two-day pass here, which includes access to the virtual screenings, or buy individual tickets for individual screening blocks here. INSPIRE – Friday, 8/7 @ 6p – Reserve Tickets Here

Kickoff the weekend with 6 short films that highlight underrepresented stories and people, and get inspired along the way to make some change in your own life. This film block features stories from Africa, the UK, and the US.

Ready to explore the high mountain passes of Kyrgyzstan and roll through the hills of Pennsylvania where wild elk roam? How about riding around Ireland on a restrictive diet, or cycling through the deserts of Mexico? This film block explores four corners of the world by bike, and it will leave you ready to head out on your own adventure.

Friday @ 4:30pm – Opening Night Ride led by the Street Trust (full details)

Meet up at Movie Madness and ride over to the Clinton Street Theater, with plenty of time to get snacks, merch, and use the bathroom before the short films start. Big thanks to The Street Trust for leading this ride!

Saturday @ 9am – Fun Ride with Abe and the Paperclip (full details)

Just like last year, Abe Alkhamees will lead us on a nice ride around Portland, approx 19 miles long, but with options to cut it short (full route here). Meet up at Upper Left Coffee Roasters.

We are still looking for a few more volunteers
